Dear Mr. Keppler:
References (a) and (b) provided our response and corrective actions to an item of noncomplicnce identified in the subject inspection report for Dresden Station.
Because of the great concern over repetitive events, this item of noncompliance has been brought to the attention of Commonwealth Edison Company corporate management.
The Chairman of the Board, Executive Vice President, and Vice President for Nuclear Operations have reviewed the event and the corrective actions.
Every effort is being made in order to provide assurance that future events of this type will not occur.
It is felt that the senior management level of review as well as the station management and contractor management actions identified in References (a) and (b) will help prevent recurrence of this event.
