Inspection 50-334/80-02

This refers to your letter dated March 25, 1980, in response to our letter

dated February 26, 1980.

Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented

in your letter. We understand based on a telephone conversation with Mr. J.

Sieber of your staff on April 8, 1980, that your ISI contractor has been

scheduled to return to re-perform the LP on the safe-end weld with a procedure

reviewed and approved in accordance with the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical

Specifications. This will be the final inspection in accordance with your ISI

program. The contractor's actions and your actions to prevent recurrence will

be examined during a subsequent inspection of your licensed program.
