Appendix A
~ NOTICE OF VIOLATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on December 10-11, 1979, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted in full compliance with NRC regulations and conditions of your NRC Facility License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR-69, as indicated below.
This item is categorized as an Infraction.
Section 2.2.1 of Appendix B, Environmental Technical Specifications, requires in part, that the demineralizer regeneration produced waste solution shall be neutralized, as is necessary, to obtain a pH in the range of 6.0-9.0 prior to release into the circulating water discharge.
Contrary to the above, on November 29, 1979, denineralizer regeneration produced waste solution with a pH of 12.1, was not neutralized to obtain a pH in the range of 6.0 to 9.0 prior to release, and was released to the yard drain instead of to the circulating water discharge, as specified.
