Fishes, aquatic plants, and aquatic sediments will be samoled in July and October if available and miscellaneous food products will be sampled as available.

Surface and drinking water samples had normal tritium and gross beta acti-vities, two positive results for fodine-131 upstream, with no other-gamma-emitting radionuclides detected. As the only iodine-131 detected was from one upstream location, it is assumed that these occurrences of radiofodine were from' sources other than Three Mile Island. Gross alpha analyses of-surface water samples were below the lower limit of detection. No radio-iodine was detected in precipitation or milk samples. Gross beta analyses of air particulate and precipitation samples were at normal ambient levels.

Gamma spectroscopy of milk samples showed the presence of naturally occurring potassium-40 only, while analyses of milk samples for strontium-89 and stron-tium-90 revealed normal ambient levels of those two radionuclides.
