Dear Mr. Giambusso:
The Florida Power Corcoration hereby applies for an extension of time for completion of Crys =' Piver Unit #3 as covered by Provisional Construction Permit i!o. CPPR-51, granted on September 25, 1968.
A yecently completed sch.edule evaluation has been used to determine causes for experienced delays and also project impact of kne.an,;ork effort yet to be perfomed to meet the completion date proposed below.
We will summarile the above in tabular form to categorize.the major areas of delay.

Amendment 13, dated 9-171, to our Application for Licenses, dated August 10, 1967, included i1 formation to the effect that the earliest completion was March,1973, and latest completion was September, 1973.
We would expect to revise, in the near future, our paragraph (h)
Completion Dates, page 8, in the above application to read as follows:
" Construction of Unit 2 it scheduled for completion in time for fuel loading :.o begin in May,1974, for earliest commercial operation'in September,1974.
It-is projected that latest date for feel loading to begin is December, 1974, with late:t ccm.tercial operation as t' arch,1975."

It. is contended that ali.kcr.:n and projected delays have been beyond the control of the permit holder and that every effective means to prevent further delay is being employed by the applicant.
Florida Power Corporation hereby requests that Construction Permit CPPR-51 be extended from June l, 1972, until March 31,-1975.
