TNovak Your letter of October 2,1974 informed us that you were unable to respond by October 1 to the Regulatory staff position set forth in our technical report, " Anticipated Transic.nts Without Scram for Water Cooled Power Reactors"-(ATWS), dated September 1973, because the necessary infomation was not yet fully developed by the reactor vendor, the Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W).
You have stated that the necessary information will be contained in a report by B&W that will be published on December 13, 1974.
In view of this delay in the information from your vendor and since this delay will not effect your capability to install any necessary design modifications arising from the ATUS study, we are extending the date of our request for your response on this matter to December 31,1974.
