Dear Mr. Muller:

Subject:

Crystal River Unit #3 Nuclear Plant Docket No. 50-302 Since the June 27 meeting h your offices, the environmental affairs staff of Florida Power Ccrgeration has been actively pursuing the resolution of all Crystal River #3 environmental research concerns left unanswered at that time. The two significant areas of concern were;(1) the selection of a biometrician, and (2) the definition of a comprehensive plankton research program. Both of these concerns have been resolved and the results are attached for your review.

Dr. R. T. Lackey of VPI has been selected as the consulting bio-metrician. His resume and the logic for his selection are enclosed.

Also enclosed is a discussion of our current plan for plankton research.

We believe that the plankton program which we have outlined represents an exhaustive effort to quantify the associate environmental para-meters at Crystal River. Also, we feel that Dr. Lackey is well qualified to serve as a biometrician on this project. We are looking fomard to your speedy approval of these portions of the Crystal River research program. If you have any questions concerning the attached, please contact our environmental affairs group.

Very truly yours, J.

. Rodger Asst. Vice President l
