Note to John F. O' Leary ANTITRUST REVIEW FOR CRYSTAL RIVER 3 (FLORIDA POWER CORP. - DOCKET NO. 50.-302A)

By letter dated August 23, 1972 the Antitrust Division, Department of Justice, informed the applicant of. suggested language that would be acceptable as explanatory notes to commitments previously made in connection with the subject operating license application.

In keeping with our suggestion to expedite this matter, the Antitrust Division indicated also that they would be happy to meet with the applicant and AEC personnel to resolve any outstanding technical questions.

During a telephone conversation today, H. A. Evertz, Assistant Counsel, Florida Power Corporation, informed me that except for some minor language differences and one substantive item, the applicant and the Antitrust Division appeared to be in agreement. Mr. Evertz will attempt to resolve these differences by telephone within the next few days.

If it is not possible to do so, Mr. Evertz intends to request a joint meeting with AEC and the Antitrust Division to develop specific language that will be acceptable to all the parties.
