3. Report Date: 29 July 1977
4. Occurrence Date: 7 July 1977
5. Identification of Occurrence:

Less than the minimum required number of Auxiliary Building exhaust fans in operation contrary to Technical Specification 3.7.8.1.

6. Conditions Prior"to Occurrence:

Mode 1 power operation.

7. Description of Occurrence: ;

At 1450 the Auxiliary Building ventilation fan AHF-14D was secured for required charcoal ll filter sampling. Upon completion of sampling, AHF-14D would not restart. AHF-14D nor- ;

mally is utilized with AHF-14B as one pair of required exhaust fans. With the loss of one pair of fans the 7 day action statement of Tech. Spec. 3.7.8.1 was entered. Mainten-ance was performed and ARF-14D was restored operable in approximately 24 hours2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
.

i. Designation of Apparent Cause:

The cause of this event was due to the fan's low flow switch being out of calibration.
