Occurrence Date: 30-31 March, 1977 4.
Identification of Occurrence:
Biomass of fish and shellfish i= pinged on the intake screens of Units 1, 2 and 3 exceeded the 50 kg/24hr reporting level of section 3.1.3 of the Environmental Technical Specifications.

Conditions Prior _to Occurrence:
Unit #1 - All water circulation pumps non-operational (unit 1 down, maintenance).
Unit #2 - 1 of 4 water circalation pumps non-operational from 0630 to p,
0810 on 3/31/77, all others operational.
Unit #3 - All water circulation pumps operational.

Description of Occurrence:
During the period 1000 March 30, 1977 to 1000 March 31, 1977 116.98 kg of fish and shellfish were impinged on the intake screens of Crystal River Units 1, 2 and 3.
Of the 116.98 kg impinged, Unit 3 accounted for 66.28 kg (57% of total).
Two com=ercially uni =portant species, the batfish and the cowfish accounted for 84.74 kg (72% of total).
Two co=:ercially utilized species, the pink shriep and the blue crab eccounted for 17.48 kg (15% of total).
Icpinge=ent of all other cot =ercially utilized species was less than 1 kg during the period in question.
The remaining biocass i= pinged was distributed a=ong several species of fish and shellfish.
