Gentlemen:

d This is in response to your letter dated October 22, relative to 1

our vehicle immobili=ing system.

In line with our telephone conversation with your Mr. Charles Hillman and Mr. Glenn Podonski, we are modifying our r stem to function in the following sequence:

Start 1.

Code card insertion 2.

Manual code insert 3.

Start and run Emergency Shutdown l

1 Activate emergency shutdown circuitry 2.

Continued running duration 3 to 5 minutes j

3.

All systems shutdown occurs for a period of not less than 30 minutes i

(No manual override) 4.

System returns to start mode Modifications are being made on an immediate basis to comply with NUREG-0561.
