Dear Mr. Reid:
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District's January 7,1980 letter to you provided infonnation concerning the status of Category A NUREG-0578 items. The District hereby revises Item 2.2.2.b, Onsite Technical Support Center, with respect to interim communications capabil-ities. The 10 button mini switchboard, the 2-point line to the Corporate Emergency Center and the 3-point line to the primary (IONE) Emergency Operations Center will be installed by June 1,1980. In addition, one line to the alternate (Herald) Emergency Operations Center will be installed by June 1,1980 with the 3-point line to be installed by September 1,1980.
Please be aware that the existing Rancho Seco comunications facilities are extensive and satisfactory for emergency comunications.

.4 Mr. Robert Reid April 17, 1980 The District's letter to you of April 11, 1980 said in the second paragraph of the response to Item 2.1.8.a-1, " Original reactor coolant sampling design permitted handling up to 3% of the Denton October 30th source term values without exceeding GDC 19 guidance."
