s PROPOSED CHANGES TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS License R-33 Docket 50-73 800.4170049
e PROPOSED CHANGES TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The General Electric Company hereby proposes the following changes to the Technical Specifications for License R-33, Docket 50-73:
I.
Technical Specification 4.1(c) should be amended to read:
4.l(c) Total excess reactivity including poison rods, temperature coefficient (integrated from the inlet temperature), and experiments L
shall be no greater than $0.76.
II.
Technical Specification 5.4.3 should he amended to read:
5.4.3 Each manual poison sheet used shall be restrained in its respective graphite reflector slot in a manner which will prevent inadvertent movement by more than one-half (1/2) inch relative to the reactor core during postulated events (including seismic events) which could occur during reactor operation.
III. Technical Specification 8.2.2 should be amended to read:

8.2.2 The sum of the reactivity worths of all experiments inserted in all experimental facilities at any one time is limited in combination with effects from poison rods and the temperature coefficient by Section 4.l(c).
IV.
Technical Specifications 8.2.11 should be amended to read:
i 8.2.11 Experimental objects located in the fuel loading chute shall l
be secured to prevent their entry into the core region during all normal operating conditions.
V.
In Item 16 of Table I "$0.8" should be changed to $0.76.
VI.
Technical Specification 8.2.5 should be deleted. This Technical Specification addresses experiments with a negative reactivity worth in excess of $0.8.
The proposed new Technical Specification 4.l(c) eliminates such experiments.
