O APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Company License No. NPF-5 Hatch Based on the NRC inspection November 10 - December 7, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC require-ments as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Technical Specification 6.8.1, written procedures shall be established and implemented for control of radioactivity. Hatch Nuclear Plant Procedure No. 8008, Radiation Work Permit, Paragraph C.4, requires that radiation work permits (RWPs) be approved by Health Physics and the Shift Foreman prior to commencing the work.
Paragraph C.5 requires that the approved original of the RWP be posted at the entrance to the job site.
Contrary to the above, on November 27, 1979, work commenced on the filter element change of "F" filter demineralizer prior to Health Physics and the Shift Foreman's approval and posting of the RWP.
This is an Infraction.
