Thank you for your letter of January 24, 1980, informing us of steps you have taken to correct the items of noncompliance concerning activities 3
under NRC License No. SNM-778 brought to your attention in our letter of December 31, 1979. We will examine your corrective actions and plans during subsequent inspections.
Per the telephone conversation between J. B. Kahle, Region II, and A. F. Olsen, B&W (LRC), on January 29, 1980, it is our understanding that B&W (LRC) will have a second individual review the completed shipping papers for all shipments of radioactive materials as opposed to all ship-ments of large quantities of licensed materials as stated in your letter of January 24, 1980.
Also, the December 31, 1974 date in Appendix A of our letter dated December 31, 1979 is correct. As you noted in your response, the correct date for the October 13, 1979 date in our report is October 13, 1978.
