1744 Unit Date of Occurrence 2/13/80 Time of Occurrence Identification and Description of Occurrence:

"B" main steam line radiation monitor 2-RM-90-138 f ailed downscale due to loss of power. This resulted in a half scram and half isolation. -

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 @ 0% refueling outage Unit 2 @ 50%

Unit 3 @ 100%

Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment. Describe.

Replacceent power drawer was functional tested..,

Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

Radiation monitor failed downscale due to power loss. The loss of power was contribt::ed to a Sola power transformer failure.

&nalysis of Occurrence:

There was no damage to plant equipment other than the Sola transforr.er. There.was no activity release, no personnel exposure or injury and no danger to health or safety of the public.

Co. rective Action:

The antire power drawer was replaced and functionally tested.
