By letter dated January 3,1980, the licensee requested an amendment to his operating license no. DPR-65. The change requests a revision in the location, type, and number of fire detectors to be consistent with our Safety Evaluation dated September 19, 1978.
Our review of the licensee's submittal noted that reasons for the changes in detector type, location and number were not apparent and on January 31, 1980, we spoke via telecon with the licensee.
The licen:= followed with a clarifying letter dated February 4,1980.
We have reviewed the licensee's submittal and we find that the number, type and location of fire detectors accurately reflects what exists in the plant and is acceptable.
We request that the licensee be informed of the results of our evaluation.
