Gentlemen:

This refers to the inspection conducted by Ms. C. Abigail Evans of the

Region IV Office on January 17, 1980, of activities authorized by NRC

License No. R-25 for the AGN-201M, and License No. R-126 for the Triga

Facility, and to the discussien of our findings with Mr. Craig M. Jensen

at the conclusion of the inspection.

The Area examined during this inspection was your program for protecting

against industrial sabotage and safeguarding special nuclear material

pursuant to applicable provisions of 10 CFR Part 50, " Licensing of

Production and Utilization Facilities"; Part 73, " Physical Protection of

Plants and Materials"; and specific requirements of NRC License No. R-25

for the AGN-201M, and NRC License No. R-126 for the Triga facility. Within

this area, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

and records, interviews with personnel, observations by the inspector and

review of the Physical Security Plan for the Nuclear Engineering Laboratory.

Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance with NRC

requirements were identified.

In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,"

Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of findings

of your control and accounting procedures for safeguarding special

nuclear materials and your facility security procedures are exempt from

disclosure; therefore, the inspection report will not be placed in the

Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
