Background
TVA is licensed under NRC flaterials License f:o. SilN-1716 for the storage of fuel for eventual use in the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Unit 1.
The license is scheduled to expire January 30, 1980. By application dated November 21, 1979, TVA has requested an extension of the expiration date.
Discussion The applicant states that beccuse of recent Commission decisions regarding reactor licensing, an extension of the expiration date of this license is required. An extension of the expiration date does not affect the radio-logical, nuclear safety, or other parameters on which was based the issuance of the license.
Recommendation I recommend that the license extension be granted.
