Dear Mr. Linder:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendmert No.19 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-45 for the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor.
This amendment consists of chan]es to the Technical Specifications and is in response to your application dated January 17, 1980, as supplemented by letter dated January 28, 1980.
This amendment adds new, more restrictive li' nits for reactor coolant and off-gas radioactivity to compensate for increasing the maximum allowable average fuel assembly exposure by 600 MWD /MTU.
These limits apply to LACBWR fuel cycle 6 which would pennit continued reactor operation while the new spent fuel racks are being installed in the Fuel Storage Well.
Copies of our related Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
