Dear Sir:
Subject:
Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specification Change Request No. 76 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFP 90, Jersey Central Power G Light Company, owner and operator of the Oyster Creek Nuc1 car Generating Station, Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16, requests changes to Appendix A of that license.
This Technical Specification Change will remove non-destructive examination requirements for the reactor coolant system in Section 4.3 of the Oyster Creek Plant Technical Specifications. This change is necessary because a revised inservice inspection program complying with requirements of Section 50.55 a(g) of Titic 10 Code of Federal Regulations will be impicmented on December 8, 1979, and this revised inservice inspection program which has been submitted to the Director of Nuc1 car Reactor Regulations on September 6, 1979, will no longer be a part of the Oyster Creek Technical Specifications.
Other reactor coolant system surveillance requirements not covered by the revised inservice inspection program will be preserved in this section of the Technical Specifications.
We have determined that this submittal is Class II per 10 CFR 170.22 and have enclosed a check for $1200 pursuant to that Section.
Very truly yours, Ivan R. Fin ock Jr.
