Dear Mr. Lundvall:
By letter dated Januaif 3,1980, you informed the NRC cf your intention to design and install a third auxiliary feedwater tra'n utilizing the same codes for the piping and piping supports as were used for the original Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant construction.
This is to infom you that we disagree with your proposed approach.
It is our position that an independent third auxiliary feedwater train should be designed and constructed to meet the latest edition and addenda of Section III of the ASME Code. This is consistent with our interpretation of Section XI of this code.
