As a result of our meeting at the Southern California Edison Company offices in Rosemead, California, on November 28, 1978, we have determined that additional information is needed regarding three alternate routes for the transmission line from Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 4 and 5 to Valley and Mira Loma Substations.
Pleas provide the following:
1.
Discuss the feasitility of consolidating the proposed 500-kV transmission line with existing lines from Devers Substation through San Gorgonio Pass.
If this is feasible, would more than the present rights-of-way through Morongo Indian lands be necessary?
2.
Discuss the feasibility of routing the proposed 500-kV trans-mission line to Lugo Substation rather than Mira Loma, from Devers Substation.
3.
Discuss the feasibility of routing the proposed 500-kV trans-mission line from a point between Desert Center and Cabazon, through Martinez Canyon, to Valley and Mira Loma Substations.
Receipt of your response by January 15, 1979 will be necessary to maintain our present schedule for the environmental review.
