Dear Mr. Rosenthal:

9 It is not only .g.ux proximity to the North Anna Power Plant (1 mile) that causes me great concern that nothing is apparently being done to protect us as citizens of Louisa County and the State of Virginia from the potential danger of operating & power plant wherein the pumphouse has sunk and continues to sink, but in addition, the hazards of such conditions as this could possibly involve thousands of people. We don't understand why we have to continue to write to ask for " protection" from a government agency that was created fe such a purpose. It is past time for you to act and deny VEPCO permission to operate the North Anna Power Station, given the problem-riddled construction of this plant throughout its history and the ever continuing sinking problems.

If safety issues were considered in the original specifica-tions and a settlement allowance made at that time, to increase the " allowable settlement" would certainly prove unsafe. THIS SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTEDI We never have any information about this cerious problem in the lccal newspapers. Apparently, it is " hush-hush". This information needs to be made public so that everyone is aware of the conditions at North Anna.

VEPCO denies any problems when questioned--it will always be"taken care of", according to them, and public safety is never an issue.

Please remember all the times VZPCO has withheld informa-tien, made f alse statements, etc. He vonder how many times such actions by this Company have not come to light.

We hope that your Board uill take seriously its responsibility to the people of this nation and not grant VZPCO 's its operating license for North Anna.
