m February 19, 1979 Alan Rosenthal, Esq., Chairman Atomic Safety and Licensing Board U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Conmission Washington, D.C.

20555 Dear Mr. Rosenthal As a Virginia citizen I an deeply concerned abcut the safety of the North Anna nuclear power plant and speci-fically its si +,g pump house.

The false assurances of the Rasmussen Safety Study should tell us that safety measures need to be increased not de-creased.

I therefore urge the appeal board not to increase VEPCO's M

" allowable settlement" but to hold a public hearing con-cerning settlement conditions and risk beneath all North Anna 'ouilding; and to investigate revocation of North Anna's operating license for withholding settlement infor-nation from the Atomic Safety and LicensI.ng Board.

Sincerely i

' Lb~ Jw O,,[t
