l Docket No. 50-344 Mr. Charles Goodwin, Jr.

Assistant Vice President Portland General Electric Company 121 S.W. Salmon Street Portland, Oregon 97204

Dear Mr. Goodwin:

RE:

TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT By letter dated September 26, 1977 we infonned you of a~ limited boron dilution incident involving the contents of a spray additive. tank at an operating PWR facility.

In light of this you were asked to reriew potential boron dilution incidents at your facility to ins ~ure that a similar or other unreviewed method of baron dilution was not more limiting than had been previously analyzed and found acceptable.

Your response of November 7,1978 indicates that you have reviewed potential boron dilution incidents at your facility and have determined that the FSAR analysis of this event still represents the most limiting case.

Based on your response no further action regarding this generic issue is necessary.

Sincerely, I

tSdMA'W A. $chwencer, Chief Operating Reactors Branch #1 Di'/id'n of Operating Reactors cc:
