On September 23, 1977, the Trojan plant was shut down from 100% power
~ to repair a circumferential crack in the four (4) inch stainless steel common header line to the charging pumps near the suction line to the ,
positive displacement pump. This line~is under a normal operating pressure of approximately 30 psig.
- The crack is approximately one (1) inch in length in the base metal. !
- The leakage rate was approximately10-12 gallons per hour.
