Dear Mr. Reeo:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 44 to Facility Operating License DPR-39 and Anendment No. 41 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-48 fnr Zion Station, Unit Nos.1 and 2, respectively.
The amendments consist of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application of October 27, 1978 as supplemented November 21, 1978 and February 13, 1979.
N These amendments extend the F rod bow penalty curve and the predicted EFPH clad collapse times to iftblude higher region average fuel burnup for a maximum of four extended burnup assemblies for Zion Unit 2 for a maximum of two additional cycles.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation, Environment 31 Impact Appraisal and the Federal Register Notice of Issuance are also enciesed.
