Dear Sir:
The Authority wishes to point out an error in Amendment 46 to the JAF technical specifications.
This error was the unintentional omission of the provision for subsampling large impingement collections.
The old technical specifications contained the following sentence on page 26:
"In the event of large collections, representative subsampling for various parameters will be satisfactory."
This error was not included in the July 20, 1979 notice of errata from Mr. Ippolito to Mr. Berry, possibly because the Authority had not submitted a request for it in writing.
The purpose of this letter is to request NRC recognition of the unintentional omission and addition of this erratum to the official list.
