Dear Mr. Seidle:

On January 10, 1979, we verbally informed your Mr. R. S. Taylor, CPSES Resident Inspector, of a design deficiency with the expansion joint in the Decontamination Roon that we were evaluating as a "potentially" reportable deficiency within the definition of 10 CFR 50.55(e). We have completed our investigation and have concluded that the matter is not reportable under 10 CFR 50.55(e).

Records supporting these determinations are available for your Inspector's review at the CPSES site.

If you have any further questions, please advise.

Very truly yours,

/
