Six operators interviewed on-shif t to determined awareness of THI incident details, recent procedure changes, that automatic activation of ESF are to be overridden, and knowledge of Removal and Restoration procedures not and notification procedures.

Observed control room operations - all three shifts. Observed shift turnover -
evening and night shift.

STATUS OF TNSPFCTOR DISCUSSIONS '41TH FTANT PERSONNEI..
All licenseed personnel are being briefed by NRC prior to shift change; thus far 36 of 51 have been briefed. Provisions have been made to insure that no operator (RO/SRO) relieves shif t without having had NRC briefing.
Also briefing nonllcensed operators with licensed oper.ator.
