APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VI0I.ATION Georgia Power Company License No. CPPR-108 Alvin W. Vogtle, Units 1 and 2 CPPR-109 Based on the NRC inspection January 10-12, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in corre-spondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, as implemented by Vogtle Nuclear Plant (VNP) PSAR, Part 17.1.5 which states in part, "At the VNP Construction site, the Georgia Power Company Field Construction Group... will be required to have appropriate procedures outlining the manner in which their work will be conducted." Georgia Power Company Construction Procedure CD-T-02, Concrete Quality Control, and referenced ASTM Standard C-136 require that sieves used for aggregate tests conform to requirements of ASTM Standard Ell.
Contrary to the above, sieves used for grain size analysis of fine aggre-gates are not checked for conformance to ASTM Ell.
This is an infraction.
