APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Florida Power Corporation License No. DPR-72 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on December 11-15, 1978, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in our correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
Technical Specification 6.8.2 requires those procedures referenced in Technical Specification 6.8.1 be reviewed by the Plant Review Committee and approved by the Nuclear Plant Manager prior to implementation. Tech-nical Specification 6.8.1 references liquid radwaste processing procedures by referring to Appendix "A" of Regulatory Guide 1.33.
Contrary to the above, on December 13, 1978, liquid radioactive waste was being procesced with a vendor-supplied demineralizer system using procedures that had not been reviewed by the Plant Review Committee nor approved by the Nuclear Plant Manager.
This is a deficiency.
