APPENDIX.A U. S. Naval Postgraduate School Monterey, California 93940 License No. 04-02579-04 Notice of Violation Based upon the results of the NRC inspection conducted on December 5-7, 1978, activities under your license appear to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements as identified below.
License condition 14. requires that statements made in the license application dated March 26, 1976 be followed.
Procedure NPINST 9900-2A (Item 7
" Routine Area Survey Program") which was sub-mitted with that application states that instruments will be calibrated every six months.
Contrary to this requirement, no instruments in current calibration were available at the postgraduate school at the time of the inspection.
This is an infraction.

Naval Postgraduate School December 15, 1978 within twenty (20) days of your receipt of this notice, a written s' ate-ment or explanation in reply including (1) corrective steps which have been taken by you, and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
