Georgia Power Company Plant E. I. Hatch Baxley, Georgia 31513 Cause Description and Corrective Actionsto the burn up of local Xenon in the increase-d flux regions produced by the rod withdrawals.

Power reduction began upon discovery and was reduced to 96.7% rated power within the next 30 minutes where the MAPLHGR was 99.97% of its Tech Specs limit.

Personnel have been further instructed in these local Xenon effects and in maintaining sufficient margin to remain within limits at all times.
