Irripection 70-687/79-02 This refers to your letter dated September 6,1979, and your note postmarked September 13, 1979, in response to our letter dated August 8,1979.
With respect to Item B, it is our understanding, based on the telephone conversation of September 17, 1979 between your Mr. McGovern and Mr. Roth of this office, that stacking of drums containing SNM would be resolved through the submittal of a license amendment application to NRC-NMSS.
In the interim, drums containing SNM would not be stacked in any of the Hot Cells.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter.
These actions will be examined during a subsequent inspection of your licensed program.
