Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Our reactor vessel manufacturer, Combustion Engineering, Inc., is currently engaged in performing the records search requested by IE Bulletin 78-12 (as modified by Supplement 12A and 12B).
They plan to submit a generic report directly to the NRC before June 8,1979 covering all reactor vessels manufactured by CE. We will reference the generic report in our final response to the bulletin which should be transmitted to you on or before June 29, 1979.
This schedule is consistent with the referenced communication between CE and the NRC.
