REPLY TO APPENDIX A 0F NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-317/79-02; 50-318/79-02 In response to your finding regarding the incompleteness of the Twelve Month Release Rate Calculation Sheet for the months of November and December 1978, the following actions have been taken.
The procedure which implements the requirement to perform the calcula-tion and complete the sheet, RCPl-207, did not provide a specific time limit to insure completion of this calculation. Therefore, we have revised the procedure to require that the calculation be completed and the results recorded on the sheet within one month following the completion of any twelve consecutive months.
We have given this item particular attention in that the Radiation Safety and Chemistry Engineer will require a monthly report on all release rate calculations to insure compliance with the specifications in RCP1-207.
This action will avoid a further item of noncompliance.
Full compliance is considered to have been achieved.
