DOCKET NOS. 50-454/457 The Nuclear Regulatory Comission staff has completed its review of the request in your letter of July 9,1979 for authorization to use ASME Code Case N-240 for application on the Byron Station, Units 1 and 2, and Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2.
Code Case N-240, " Hydrostatic Testing of Open Ended Piping Section III,
~
Division 1, Class 2 and 3, Transporting Fluid to Spray Ponds, Lakes and Reservoirs," is an acceptable code case and will be included in a future revision of Regulatory Guide 1.84.
Code Case N-240 may, there-fore, be used in the construction of components for the Byron /Braidwood Stations and should be referenced in the Final Safety Analysis Report.
