The status of these items is essentially unchanged from that reported on April 9,1979. The licensee's review of these items is continuing, and they expect to provide a written response to items 1, 2, 3, 4.a. and 5 of IEB 79-05A on April ll, 1979.

The licensee has conducted the required training for all Unit #1 operators.

The last group of Unit #2 operators is scheduled to receive the required training this afternoon. Maintenance personnel are scheduled for training sessions in accordance with item 11 of IES79-05A on April 11 and 12,1979.

Training in procedure changes which are made as a result of iib 79-05A will be conducted at a later date.

Summary of NRC inspection activity during period 4/9 thru 10/ 9.

Control room observation; Day shift and night shift; 4/9/79 Discussions with licensee representatives concerning items 1.a thru 1.d above; Day Shift; 4/9 and 10/79 On-Site inspection of ESF in accordance with item III.c.1 of TI 2595/2; Day shift and evening shift; 4/9/79 Item 3 -

The inspector conducted a 30 minute discussion covering the elements of enclosure 1 of TI 2595/2 with 12 licensed operators during the day shift on 4/9/79.

B&W SITE INSPECTOR DAILY REPORT Date: 4/10/79 Item 4 -

The plant is in a refueling outage which comenced 3/30/79.

Fuel handling operations were started this morning.

Major maintenance items in progress include low pressure turbine rotor replacement, steam generator eddy current testing, and installation of a design change to enhance the emergency core cooling following a small break.

Plant heatup is projected to comence 4/29/79. Reactor startup is scheduled for 5/4/79, and power ascension is scheduled for 5/7/79.
