e APPERDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Virginia Electric and Power Company License No. NPF-4 North Anna Unit 1 Based on the NRC inspection October 22-26, 1979, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by Technical Specification 6.8.1.c, written procedures shall be established implemented and maintained covering surveillance and test activities of safety related equipment.
Technical Specification 4.0.5.A.2-requires inservice testing of ASME Code Class 1, 2 and 3 valves in accordance with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Subsection IWV 3400 of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI requires Category A and B valves be cycled every three months to insure operability.
Contrary to the above, Category A valves MOV-RS-100A and MOV-RS-100B, both safety related components, are not required to be cycled every three months by any procedure.
This is a infraction.
