O' Mr. R. H. Encelken Director of inspection h/

and Enforcement U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comnission 1990 N. California Boulevard Walnut Creek, California 94596 December 31, 1979 Letter Regardine Inspection Report 50-312/79-20

Dear Mr. Engelken:

With regards to your concern regarding proper review by the MSRC of the PRC reports and meeting ninutes, we are of the opinion the f1SRC has properly reviewed the PRC reports and meeting minutes in the past.

To alleviate your concerns, we have reviewed the two alternates suggested by the NRC by which compliance to Technical Specifications 6.5.2.7.i can be provided.

It is our intention to send the PRC meeting minutes and reports to each f1SRC menber for their review.

An agenda item for each regularly scheduled MSRC meeting will include an item to discuss any problems the individual PSRC members may have with the PRC meeting minutes and reports.

This action will be taken immediately and full compliance will be achieved by the next regularly scheduled MSRC meeting, February 5,1980.

Sincerely yours, S
