OCT 5 1979 MEMORANDUM FOR:
Norman Haller, Director Office of Management and Program Analysis FROM:
Darrell G. Eisenhut, Acting Director Division of Operating Reactors
SUBJECT:
D0R PP.0 JECT MAflAGEMENT REPORTS Each month 00R project managers update their project manager reports and submit them to MPA for input into the system.
The updated information is used in the Operating Reactors Licensing Actions Summary (0RLAS) Book, plus an updated copy of the Pf1 Report is returned to us. The problem we have encountered is that the PM Reports do not undergo any MPA QA audit before being returned to us.
Thus our professional staff spends an inordinate amount of time checking the reports to see if data was entered.. We have found that too often the data is not entered and PMs have to enter the same information the next month.
This is a waste of our technical manpower.
Therefore, this is to request that, before the October PM reports, and subsequ'ent reports are returned to us and before the ORLAS Book goes to print, itPA perform a QA audit of the printouts.
Your immediate assignment of someone to perform this function is greatly appreciated.
For your information, I have established a 00R Task Force, headed by James Hard, to look into the Rafts System and decide on approaches for getting more management attention directed at the data. We will be calling upon your staff for information and guidan e.
