H. Berkow, Acting Chief Management 6 Administrative Support Branch Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation SUBJECT REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM MPA The purpose of this memo is to ask for your cooperation and remind you again that all requests for assistance from MPA are to be made through this office rather than directly from divisions or task forces.

I an attaching two examples of recent requests which were sent directly to MPA and returned to me.

With respect to use of the Nill /DCRT computer timesharing agreement, our memo to you of September 19, 1979 asked that all new users under this interagency agreement be identified formally by memo from the Office 1cvel. Also,,all RAMS-related requests, whether for routine retrieval of data or requiring some programming effort, must be made from the Office Icvel.

MPA is resource limited and will not honor any request for new work or modifications to existing systems except in accordance with NRR Office IcVel priorities.

We need to be aware of all current needs and requests in order to be able to set priorities.

MPA also has asked that all requests for special manpower reports from the existing RAMS data' base be made through the Office level. Send such requests to Ellen Whitlow of this office. We will forward them promptly to MPA and keep track of them to help assure that you get the reports when you need them.
