In confirmation of a telephone call on December 14, 1979, with Mr. Chris Nelsen of your staff, the following commitment is docu-mented in regard to implementation of the NRC Staff's category A NUREG-0578 requirements, as applied to the Fort Calhoun Statien Unit No. 1.
The Omaha Public Power District vill implecent the NRC Staff's category A requirements by January 31, 1980, or vill be shutdevn by January 31, 1980, and not restarted before ec=ple-tion of that implementation. This cctmittent does not include items 2.1.7.a and 2.
9 of the category A requirements.
It is assumed in making this c =mitment that equipment necessary to implement these requiremen s vill be available. Should equipment availability problems be ider ified, the Staff vill receive immediate notifica-tien.
