APPEAL BOARDS RADON PROCEEDINGS With respect to your correspondence to Ms. Sue Reinert, the following items have not been sent but are relevant to.the question of raden releases from uranium milling operations:

1.

The Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act of 1978; 2.

Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on Uranium Milling, NUREG-0511; 3.

All Federal Register Notices pertaining to proposed regulation changes regarding the management of uranium mill tailings or other byproduct material now licensable under the " Tailings Act"; and 4.

"A Field and Modeling Study of Windblown Particles From A Uranium Mill Tailings Pile," an interim Battelle report, NUREG/CR-0629.

I intend to make use of these documents, and probably several others, in preparing responses to ALAB-562 " contentions."
