GUTSTANDING ITEMS - REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION DATED MAY 23, 1979 AND JULY 17, 1979 This is to confirm telephone conversations of August 31, 1979 and September 11, 1979 between Mr. Robert Harrison of your staff and Mr. Michael Karlowicz t.qd Mr. Jim Petersen 7f our Financial Analysis Staff.

The purpose of those conver-sations was to enumerate responses to our subject requestr that are either in-complete or that need clarification. The enclosure is a 1isting of the out-standin9 items discussed.

They are identified in ti e enclosure using the same numbering system as was used in our request of May 23, 1979.

It is noted that subsequent to September 11, 1979, we received all of the outstanding items listed on the enclosure for Public Service Company of New Hampshire except for a portion of item 6, copies of the final prospectus for the company's currently proposed bond sale.

Please inform us within fifteen days of the date of this letter as to when we will receive the balance of the informaticn listed in the enclosure.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE (Note: References in this request are to item numbers in our request for additional financial information, dated May 23,1979.)

Provide a status report on the proposed nuclear fuel leasing arrangeme t including the net cash flow effect to Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSCO).

(4.a.) Explain the effect of the negative cash flow projected for the years 1979, !981 and 1982.

Indicate the amount of the increased short-term debt limit and state any extensioc of its current expiration date. Provide copies of the relevant New Hampshire Public Utilities Comnission (NHPUC) order (s) authorizing said increases.

Provide copies of the recent NHPUC order resulting from the investigatory proceeding on the treatment and effect of New Hampshire Statute RSA 378:

UI's 10 percent proje-ted ownership in Seabrook. Assumed ownership interest for this purpose should conform to applicant's most recent filing with the NRC (16.43531 percent).

Intemst rates on short-term borrowings. A significant drop is assuned after 1979.

Explain deviations from current market conditions.

Explain the impact on the financing plan should current interest rates prevail during the early years of the plan.

Interest rates on long-term debt. Assumption is significantly below present market conditions.
