Tne licensee has made a coimitrent to tne Office of Nuclear F.eacter
Regulation to acccaplisn tne necessary design changes to ensura
steau generator level indication following a seismic event. Since
the probability of a simultaneous seismic event and failure of
redundant steam generator level indication is extrecely low it is
felt tnat no basis exists for altering the requireaents for startup
and operation of Three ilile Island Unit No.1.
This matter has been
discusseo with CR and tney agree with this position.
