JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS August, 1979 In August, 1979, the Unit Cycle I-II refueling outage continued to perform inspection and repair of anchor bolts.

The following significant safety related maintenance was performed in August:

1. Completed diesel generator air dryer modifications.

2. Replaced recycle evaporator feed pump seals.

3. Adjusted lift settings on service water and river water pumps.

4. Rebuilt 1B charging pump.

5. Replac9.d seals on the waste evaporator distillate pump.

6. Replaced seals on the spent fuel pit pump.

7. Replaced the motor on "A" air compressor for diesel generator 2C.

8. Replaced line shaft bearings on #5 river water pump.

9. Aligned one containment spray pump.

10. Replar ad containment sump pump alternator.
