This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. J. E. Kohler of this office
on June 2-July 2,
1979, and our letter to you dated August 8, 1979, which
transmitted Inspection Repart No. 50-295/79-14 and No. 50-304/79-13.
The
Appendix to this letter is in error regarding the recurrent noncompliance
classification associated with the inoperability of the containment spray
pump. This matter was brought to our attention by Mr. Soth of your staff.
As discussed in Paragraph 12 of the inspection report, a similar event
occurred in 1978. Our review of that event is documented in Inspection
Reports No. 50-295/78-17; 50-304/78-19 and No. 50-295/78-20; 50-204/78-22,
and a Notice of Violation was not issued for the event at that time.
Therefore, the event, although repetitive in nature, is not a recurrent
item of noncompliance.
